The preparation continues..

Back to the ticker, it's  7 days left...
I have completed most of the preparation. From the smallest part to the biggest.
  • Guestbook
The vendor made her promise. I had received the book before the Merdeka celebration last week. Previously, I had told that I wanted this book by the end of August. It only took 1 and a half month to be completed. The outcome is satisfying. A simple wedding guestbook which matched the wedding theme. I don't know what to expect but as long as it is done, that has make me relieve.
  • Curtains
My scallops are ready.. -Dark blue and bright yellow. Those are the colour. Totally different from previous one that we have, I badly wanted this design. And..my lovely mom fulfill the wish. Great! Though the thick cloth has made the house a bit darker, my eyes still love to look at them. Thank God, one major preparation has been completed.

  • Official Photographer (OP)

The crew has called and confirmed my house location. Very easy to mention, he seems like very used with this place. So I don't have to tell much and just a bit description  about my house. It is confirmed that he will be here after Maghrib prayer for the solemnization.
  • Cake

I have changed my mind. From royal icing so called fondant to cream. These are for both cakes-hantaran & reception.  Luckily the salesperson accepted the changes. She seems refused to change the order by giving me a few reasons such as they have made the bills etc bla bla bla...and made me in waiting mode for a couple of minutes. Doesn't that make you irritated? Whatever it is, these changes made me save and didn't make a hole in my pocket. :-)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time is running and the Ramadhan is coming to an end which means the Big Day will come. Am I ready for the marriage???       Let me keep this to the next post... Happy Fasting friends!!

Next Wednesday..

It's been a while since my last entry. Ok, back to wedding preparation stories... 14 days left..!

I'm reminding myself..Today is Wednesday, and after next Wednesday will be that Wednesday-->solemnization (ijab & qabul day)

Lots of good and bad news come. Good for sure will make me happy and bad definitely will make me mad. (",)

• Bedroom Set

My parents will always be the Great Parents forever. Haha...I love them so much! The plan for not having new bed was totally changed. My lovely parents have went to furniture shops without my knowledge & straight away bought a new one. The great part is, it was a PRESENT  from them which means i don't have to spend any. Yeay!!

• Invitation Cards

For three rounds, I have posted the invitation cards to dear friends. Really hope to see them on my Big Day. Anyone who would like to receive one can just email/SMS me your address. :-) To those lucky ones have received the card by hand.

• Marriage Leave

Settled with leave. I have applied for straight two weeks starting from Eid Mubarak. Last week, HR Department had approved my Bonus Marriage Leave. I like!

• Hand bouquet

Centrepoint. That's where i booked my fresh roses. They are red and white. 3 dozens. Isn't that too much? I don't know how much should i have. They are for my solemnization event, both hand bouquet and side table.

• Hantaran Decoration

Altogether are 7 and they are completed with the help of my auntie. A simple decoration from my simple taste and inspirations. A bit relief...

• Reception Dress

This topic doesn't make me happy. I had gone for fitting for both sides. The dress doesn't really impressed me and make me WOW! Almost made me turned out to be a bridezilla.

• Cake - Gift

I just settled with the booking last saturday while passed by the bakery. I don't want to be too particular (cerewet) on this so just made up my mind to straight away booked. The colour did't really suits the 'hantaran' theme but let it be coz i don't want to think about it anymore. So now, have to think of my Wedding Cake. Where, where, where?

Spring Cleaning

Totally exhausted with all the cleaning. Up to down, back to front. All over places. Dear parents are the most energetic persons in this part. Me myself surrender. Plus with fasting month and the Hot weather...

++This post is actually drafted last week, anyhow for certain technical reasons I can only manage to post it today...

Final Countdown

Life has been hectic nowadays with tonnes of works so called wedding prep. Unconsciously, there's 30 more days left. Today is 15 august, and next 15 september will be my solemnization day. The day will come...(sounds scary)

My days are so chaotic with everything which is connected to wedding including cooking. Since first Ramadan i have started my daily routine in cooking lesson. The chef is definitely my dear mom. One recipe a day is just enough. Once Ramadan is over, so i have 30 recipes altogether. Isn' t that sounds better? At least i have improvement and i've changed. That's the mission and that's what life is all about. Learning something. Experience something. And finally you will live with that something throughout your life. All that will mature you. According to mom, cooking is easy. As simple as ABC. Nothing hard, as long as you want to do it then the dishes will turn up. Boom! (haha, kidding ya!). What i meant is, nothing is easy until you try to do it and feel it, and never give up to do it again and again. Just remember, practice makes perfect. Anyhow, Mom always being positive and that is great about mom.

In previous enty, i storied about invi-cards & buntings. They are with me now. I have distributed just a few to colleagues and they are many more left to dear friends. Still finding time to post via snail mail and give by hand. The result of invi-cards do not really impressed me. Quite disappointed actually but nothing that i can do. (buat2 tutup mata jer la though really saket mata looking it). The buntings are very simple as mentioned previously. Going to share the photo with u guys later k!

About the reception dress, up till now there's no feedback from WP. 2 weeks passed and i'm still looking forward to hear about this.

Last week, I spent the weekend at Damai Laut @ Swiss Garden Resort, Lumut, Perak. That was the last vacation before i end up the 'single' status. It was an enjoyable moment till i burnt. (kulit ku da hitam okeh). Once reached KL and straight away heading to One Utama. The intention was shoes finding. The mission only completed half way coz I only  managed to buy solemnization shoes. It's okay lah though one pair only. (b'coz the plan is two pairs). This Solemn Shoes (i called it that way) is totally white and Cinderella like. (i like!) Again, the photo will be displayed once the event settled. :D

Wedding Preparation

Hi All,

I’m back to post something here. Looking at the wedding ticker up there means nothing to me. It just a question came across my mind. Am I getting married? Should I believe that ticker? So far, my heartbeat still in normal mode. I mean, normal beating. :D Not in the other way round. Ok, this entry is just an update for the Wedding Preparation. With the balance of  1 month and half left, here are the preparation goes:

1. Invitation Cards & Buntings

Last few days, I received an email on bunting design. This was to confirm on how it will look like. Actually it is very simple. Without photos of us, dates or a gigantic size bunting, it just a bunting with words stated there. Definitely it stated our name! Why so simple?? Someone questioned me this. Well, b’coz I want it that way. As simple as that. (btw, I’ll post in next entry on this why, why thing ya!) This  photo---->>  inspires me to have  a simple bunting. (can't remember the blog, anyway thanks) But mine is very much simple than this one . Anyway, I seldom satisfy with a first look. There must be a touch up here & there after my critics. With a tagline “Customer is always right”, the vendor just agreed with me.*wink, wink* Anyhow, I’ll share the photo with u guys once the event has settled. Buntings actually are the free items once I ordered the invi-cards with this person. That means, no charge lah. (I like!). Ok, settle with that and now the invi-cards. Since the day I first ordered these cards, I reminded the guy that I want them by the end of the month, which means by end of July. That is the latest (paling lmbt okeh). Coz I don’t want to think of it anymore or having problems with this matter in last minute. This is quite late actually. But I still can keep cool. (Fuuhh..) Anyhow, I can get the cards together with the buntings by this weekend. Yeay!! Can’t wait to see them…

2. Reception Dress

Since my dais will be tiffany + white, so I’ve decided to have the same color for the reception dress. And another one is Gold. The theme color makes me headache at first till I decided this. There are so many color in mind and every color is beautiful. Crazy with pink (actually I’m crazy with all soft color), but thinking that I’ve chose that for the engagement so it’s better not to repeat that. As if there’s no color left. Right? (I tell myself) So, the decision made. Instead of pink, change to tiffany. Love the design of Udaimatunnur, I let my Wedding Planner (WP) to have this for me.

Source: Udaimatunnur

Another dress-Gold is also inspired from udaimatunnur, unfortunately I don't have the photo to share with. I have it in the Pesona Pengantin magazine. Well, Kak Linda (my WP) doesn’t have any problems on this and agreed to have new dress for me. Yeay, going to wear new one for both dress! By the way, I have called her last few days to know the progress. And…glad to know that they are almost done. Maybe by next week, I can have them for fitting..Hooray!

3. Cake

Cake has its sentimental value and becomes a part of the tradition especially in a wedding. Maybe someone questions why is it so? Previously, I have posted one on this. You can read it in this entry. And... in my reception, I want to have cake. Actually, this is a back up part since we-the brides will not have that ‘makan beradab’ session. For me, it is such a waste to have that ‘makan beradab’ thing since so much preparation have to be handled especially the table and of course the food. Plus, as a newly-weds for sure we have to be so polite with graceful movements while eating. As the results, the food that we eat will not effect to our stomachs.: -) So, as the conclusion we better not to have this and change to another. Anyhow, what makes me puzzled up to this time is that how many tiers should I have for the cake? Should it be 2 or 3 tiers? Or, that stand-alone cake. I mean without tiers. Which one aaa..? Anyone help me to decide?

4. Shoes

Up till now, I’m still searching for the both shoes-hantaran & solemnization . Can’t find even one that impressed me. Almost buy one last week unfortunately no size that suits my ‘Cinderella’ leg. (pity me…)

Okay, enough for now and i better go. Happy moments to you guys!

what happened to me?

I’ve been away for almost 2 months..:D   Nowadays, since I start working, I feel that days passed too fast. Is it? It’s been a year since I joined the company! Still here and I’m still the same. Nothing changes. What happened to me..? It just routine tasks curbing me from posting something here. Anyhow, I still love to blog.

Last month, was my favorite month of the year. Why? Simple. Because I was born on 22nd. And this year I turn out to be a quarter of century. Sounds too old? Whatever, but I still feel sweet & young. (Hah, perasan kan?) I'm happy and thankful that up till now, I'm still breathing. My lovely family and friends are still beside me. They are the reasons of my life. Though some come and go like wind and some just go without saying 'bye' but they still remember me. I can only say Thank You and may God bless all of you guys..! This is the last year or shall I say final year to celebrate my birthday in 'Single' status. I bet many of friends knew this. I have made up my mind during the night of  New Year celebration to end up the single status that I've been holding for these 25 years. There's no regret because I believe that God knows the best for me…

Looking at the wedding ticker up there, there’s almost 2 months left before The Day comes. Believe it or not, that’s planned. So far, the preparation goes smoothly. Everything is under control I guess. :-) Dress, dais, photographer, curtains, invitation cards are all on the way. Wedding course, HIV Test have been completed. ‘Hantaran’ things and souvenirs are still pending…

About my work, I love what I’m doing right now. It’s not that it is too comfortable till I don’t want to move. But having new experience in new environment makes me learn something new. A year and I learnt a lot! Till now, I’m still learning. And it never ends till I’ m giving up. That’s the learning process. This coming week the learning process continues till the Airasia has to bring me there…

Ok, move on to other story.. It also happened last month. That makes me a bit unhappy because I didn’t get the job. I have frustrated family’s hope. What else should I do? It’s not my luck and it’s not fated. So sorry to those hoping especially dear mom and dad…

Life has its seasons of rain, sunshine, ups and downs and that these come and go in cycles. The same condition happened to me. Sometimes I feel that I am the happiest person in the world till I forgot that it is only for a while. And sometimes I feel too sad till I forgot that it is only a test for me to be strong in future. As human being and believe what have been destined by the Almighty, I always being positive that HE knows the best for me. I feel too sad when I didn't get what I want. But the belief makes me strong by days. That is life…We have the power to plan but we don’t have the power to make it true. Anyhow, don’t ever fail to plan but never plan to fail.

Before I end, a quote to be shared to dear friends…”Life is meant to be joyous, peaceful and prosperous.” Whatever happens, it is only for a while and do not turning back. So, live life to the fullest!!

Love,
~Enniey~
